I hope the man in the red suit made you happy at Christmas. My railroad increased by a 40’ box car and a grain hopper. The year 2011 had its ups and downs with some members, but over all we made it to 2012.
The train show is going as planned. We have made the first down payment on the convention center and are purchasing the required insurance. All the tables are sold; we will have approx. 200 tables in the center, 180 for the vendors and 20 tables for layouts, contests and other uses. We have 13 layouts from “Z” to 1/8”. Steve Marquess has worked overtime getting everything to fit into the room that we have. And we have approx. 20 tables on the standby list.
At the January meeting we will be asking for help with the ticket taking and contests. We can use all the help that we can get. We will have 2 ticket tables at the front doors and not 3 as in the past.
The January meeting will be back on the monthly schedule at the Village Insurance Community meeting room on January 26th at 7:00 pm.
Any time is train time
